Resumo: | The objective of this study is to understand the organizational process of spatialtemporal mobility of passengers in airports. In this sense, we adopted the focus on sociomaterial conditions (LEONARDI, 2013, 2012) to understand the practices of organizing mobility. This study starts from the theoretical conception of the paradigm of mobilities brought by Sheller and Urry (2006) and articulates to the notion of organizing (WEICK, 1979) to understand the phenomenon of mobilities as organizational practices. For this study, the space-time issues (TAYLOR; SPICER, 2007; ORLIKOWSKY; YATES, 2002) were appropriated as a way to situate the organizational process in airports, considered locus of the interviewees' mobilities. Methodologically, the work used a qualitative approach and made use of interviews and photographs to represent perceptions and meanings about mobility. Nine participants were selected, using the snowball technique, who traveled from March to December 2020. Among the results, this research demonstrates how the organizational process of mobility produces multiple relations of space and time, concomitantly integrating what is planned, the routines and conceptions lived. It has at all times a rearrangement of the organizing - marked by fleeting encounters, by routines, by affective relations and impulses. This text brings the articulation of mobility to political discourses and consumer organizations, allowing to expand the possibilities of studies on mobility in intersection with the processes of organizing. |
