Resumo: The electric power quality meters are essential equipment for the best use of available energy sources, both renewable as non-renewable. In such aspect, the National Electric Energy Agency, ANEEL, approved the Normative Resolution No. 566 of July 18, 2013, which mandates the use of resources by concessionaires of electricity distribution in energy efficiency programs. In this resolution, the concession agreements executed by concessionaires of electricity distribution utility with ANEEL establish obligations and charges to the concession authority. Among the obligations the most important is to apply annually an amount of at least 0.5 % of its net revenue into action that aim to combat the waste of electricity, which consists of the Efficiency Program energy Distribution Companies - PEE. However, despite the scenario provide a favorable condition for the development of national technology in this branch of Electrical Engineering, it is observed that in Brazil there are few companies that have specialized in this area. Currently, much of the power quality meters used in Brazil are manufactured using international technology, although there is professionals in national industry to develop research with excellent results. However, with the dispersion of the concept of smart grid, some new features are required in a power meter. Among these is the ability to monitor the consumption of electricity and information about the quality of energy delivered by the concessionaire via a website, for example. However, this device does not exist yet. Thus, it was developed in this work a consumption and power quality meter with web access. In addition, a study was conducted to identify the possibility of implementing a consumption prediction system in the meter itself, a tool that can help users manage their energy consumption more efficient and sustainable.
