Resumo: The growing demand for electricity makes it necessary, more and more, to seek high quality electricity. Thus, a new area of Electrical Engineering emerges, called Electrical Power Quality, which analyzes, both in steady and in transient state, disturbances and distortions in current and voltage waves. With the growth of the university population, in addition to the use of didactic and research equipment, there is a reduction in the electrical power quality in the university campuses. Based on these premises, this study aimed to perform an initial diagnosis of the electrical power quality of the Technological Center at the Goiabeiras Campus of the Federal University of Espírito Santo. Initially, information regarding the current state of the University's distribution network was collected from the University City Hall. Using an electric energy analyzer, measurements were made on all the transformers of the Center, seeking to verify if the criteria and limits established by the Electrical Energy National Agency (ANEEL), by means of the Module 8 of the Procedures for Distribution of Electric Energy in the National Electrical System (PRODIST), were met. Then, the voltage levels in the steady state, voltage unbalance, voltage total harmonic distortion, frequency, power factor, load and balance of the loads of the transformers were verified. The main deviations encountered were analyzed, proposing some measures that could help to raise the level of the electrical power quality of the University, especially of the Technological Center.
