Resumo: | In a competitive market requires that companies suited to the standards required by the respective sector, so that the final product reaches the minimum quality that meets customer requirements. The quality of the final product promotes, among others, the decrease in rework and losses in the production process, consequently promotes the reduction of costs, in view that the acquisition of seedling occupies a significant part of the forest deployment costs. The objective of this study was to analyze the pre-selected activities in the production of clonal seedlings of eucalyptus and check whether they have been executed within the standards or acceptable limits of quality of execution, proposed by the forestry sector. The survey was conducted in two companies located in Sooretama, Espirito Santo. Data collection was sampling, data compiled in check sheet using the Quality 5W + 1H tool. If it was rated the quality of the tubes, preparation and planting of minicuttings, selections of seedlings and the shipment of seedlings to field. For the analysis of the process were used the tools of Statistical Process Control - CEP, specifically, control charts for attributes and other Quality Control tool, Pareto diagrams. It can be seen that most of the stages evaluated the seedling production process in the nursery were under control. However, some interventions in the production process must be taken, particularly in the preparation of mini-cuttings and second selection of seedlings and toalete, operations showed signs "out of control". Already, at Butterfly B, it was observed that the control levels were critical in some cases indicating the need for corrective measures insertion. Detailed knowledge of the steps, professionalism and change in operational and management approach are essential in any business always aiming at continuous improvement |
