Resumo: | This is an exploratory study with a qualitative approach in Public Health, based on the analysis of the narratives of members of a samba school about their health-disease-care processes, as well as their experiences in the Covid-19 pandemic. The objective was to analyze the narratives of members of a samba school community about their HealthDisease and Care processes and their experiences in the context of the New Coronavirus pandemic. To this end, semi-structured interviews were used with members of the samba school GRES Novo Império in Vitória-ES. Thus, the interviews were recorded, transcribed and later analyzed. Eight (8) interviews were carried out. The following questions were used as guiding questions: "What is Novo Império for you?"; "What is the imperial family?"; "What is health?"; "What is being healthy?"; "What is disease?" and "What is it like to experience the New Coronavirus pandemic?". All participants declared themselves black, with gender parity and age range from 23 to 80 years. The narratives were analyzed and categorized. The results show the magnitude and sensitivity of this theme through narratives that dialogue with the theoretical framework in which this research was anchored. Thus, the work analyzed the narratives observing what this community understands as health-disease and care, and how they deal with such processes in their daily lives. In addition, the narratives offered fragments of the experiences lived by these narrators about the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, the samba school is a passion, a link that connects families, which produce good meetings, feelings of belonging, sociability, work, well-being, leisure, among several other movements. The moment of social isolation, necessary to control the proliferation of Covid-19, distanced people from the experiences on the court and from all the feelings that are aroused by the samba school, causing illness and damage to mental health. Also, two articles were produced during the execution of this research “Carnavalizing health promotion in samba schools: a bibliographical review” and “Weaving (color)life possibilities: social determinants of health in the narratives and stories of Carolina Maria de Jesus” that make up this discussion. |
