Resumo: |
The objective of the present work is to create a method capable to integrate the main variables of the railway system, specifically with single track in the design phase, and sizing the fleet of locomotives and wagons required for its future operation. In situations involving the railway project, ie where the railroad does not yet exist or is not in operation, trains type need to be studied and dimensioned, and the random effects must be modeled, since the behavior of each railroad is very unique. However, the challenge lies in the fact that the data on the operational dynamics do not exist and it is not possible to use information from other railways, since each railroad has its singularity in terms of operation. In this context, the main question of this research is how to size the fleet of wagons and locomotives necessary for a single track railway, in the design phase, in order to meet its future load demands, given the track’s geometric characteristics, the loading and unloading operations at the terminals and the operational plan of the railway. Most of the work developed focuses on the optimization of the wagon fleet, both in cases where the fleet already exists and in cases where the fleet must be determined. However, the systems are simplified and the models focus only on the movement of wagons. The work does not worry about the formation of a train type, or the determination of the rolling stock itself, quantitative locomotives or even the interaction of the trains on the network, generating crossings and delays, especially in a situation in which the railroad is not operational. In this context, the research proposed a 5 step method, considering the sizing of the trains type, and applied it to the Transnordestina’s case. The method is able to size the wagon and locomotive fleet, by type of wagon, considering the main events that affect the railway operation, and is able to verify if the determined fleet operates within the limits of the system’s capacity. |
