The objective of this work was to analyze peduncles of dwarf cashew clones obtained from the Genetic Improvement Program of Embrapa Agroindústria Tropical, conducted in Cruz-CE, aiming to make inferences regarding their physical, physicochemical and functional compounds characteristics, to later indicate the best clones intended for in natura consumption and / or processing. The variables analyzed were total mass of the cashew (MT), peduncle mass (MP), chestnut mass (MC), apical diameter, basal diameter, length, firmness, pH, soluble solids (SS), titratable acidity , SS / AT ratio, vitamin C and total extractable polyphenols (PET). The experimental design was a randomized complete block (DBC), with 25 clones representing the treatments, with three replicates. The means were submitted to the Scott and Knott test at 5% probability using the Genes Software. Differences were considered significant when p ≥ 0.01 and p ≤ 0.05. In general, all clones presented good characteristics, however, clone 108-6 may be considered the preference for most consumers, since, in addition to being higher in most analyzes, it also shows red, as well as the witness (CPC 76). Therefore, all clones presented desirable characteristics for in natura consumption and / or processing. In the physical-chemical analyzes and of bioactive compounds and antioxidants, the genetic materials studied presented qualities considered of great importance, since they are market standard for in natura consumption and / or processing. |
