Resumo: The successful application of pesticides is only possible when there are spray nozzles that provide uniform transverse distrib ution and droplet spectrum similar and appropriate size. This study aimed to evaluate the profile of volumetric distribution, deposition and droplet spectrum, directing the application of pesticides to the canopy, with three application volumes and two set tings of the angles of the nozzles turboatomizador. The field study was conducted in an orchard of dwarf cashew, eight years old, located in the city of Palhano in the district of Ce - bearded, with coordinates 4 ° 44 '42 "South and 37 ° 57' 32" West . For t esting in laboratory conditions used the tractor VALTRA brand, model BM - 120 4x2 TDA. For the field study was set using a spray tractor is a Massey Ferguson tractor model 265 and a jet turboatomizador brand, model 400 GOLDEN ARBUS. The experiment was perfor med with an experimental design of randomized blocks in factorial scheme 2x3, with four repetitions, the tips used were JA - 2 and JA - 5. Treatments for the study was two settings (with and without adjustments of the angles of the nozzles) and three volumes o f application is 273, 699 and 954 Lha - 1 . For statistical analysis, data were submitted to analysis of variance and normality test and means were compared by Tukey test at 0.05. The results of the work we can conclude that the vertical distribution profile volume were more uniform distribution of angles when the nozzles were adjusted for the canopy. The adjustment of the angles of the nozzles for the canopy had higher droplet deposition for the volumes used.
