Resumo: This dissertation is titled as a young field: The look of the Japuara community in Canindé/Ceará. Observing this context arose an unsettling question: how the students and educators of the Japuara community, in Canindé, perceive the young field of knowing the Earth. The objective of the investigation was to analyze the Proyoung field-know-how of the Earth from the look of the students and educators of the Japuara community seeking to see in this look how the program contributed in the life of young people and adults and in the work of the field. The specific objectives were: to study the pedagogical proposal of the program, and to perceive the Proyoung field-knowing of the Earth, from the look of the students and educators of the Japuara community, identifying their possible contributions in the lives of the peasants. This research was carried out in the Japuara community located 8 kilometers from the municipality of Canindé, in a class that works in a municipal building in a room transferred, on the night shift. The Proyoung field-knowledge of the Earth is a program of the Brazilian Federal government that attends students and charges of the field, in the expectation of integrating the knowledge in the family agriculture peasant building awareness through the creation of public policies in Education systems that are stimulating family agriculture and sustainable development. As for the theoretical reference is the theory of Paulo Freire, according to which, the pedagogy of the oppressed is the pedagogy of men engaged in the struggle for their liberation, this contributes substantially to the strengthening of local culture and customs, Thus building critical subjects who know their reality and who can transform it through education. The methodology was used a descriptive qualitative approach, case study. The research was carried out in 3 stages: in the first observations were made in the classroom; The second interviews with teachers; And the third, focal group with students, to gather questions related to the look of the participants of the program. The educators of the field care about the relationship of public policies to the field, in the face of this reality that we live in the country today, it is notorious that the movements were not in vain, because through the social struggles were able to implement various projects and schools of the field That defend the culture, the roots, the identity of the peasant people and make the population of the country not lose their essence. However the findings of the research reveals that the Proyoung field-knowledge of the Earth brought contributions to the social and professional life, generating opportunity to return to school, strengthening of family agriculture and the appreciation of the Campesina culture, Bringing a proposal of education from the field, so that young people have hope of continuing to live on their land, acquiring knowledge of their own place and learning to live with the semi-arid. The peasant is entitled to an education focused on the reality of his people, according to his needs and possibilities for strengthening peasant culture.
