Entre a promiscuidade e a santidade: o que é ser mãe e usuária de substâncias psicoativas em uma realidade sobralense

Resumo: The aim of this study was to understand pregnant women and mothering women who use psychoactive substances from the Trevo de Quatro Folhas Strategy project, in the municipality of Sobral, revealing their ways of being a woman and the context in which they live, how they felt in relation to to care, aspire potentialities and passengers and other faces of motherhood. Thus, the theoretical topics addressed in the work were discussions on: The different concepts of motherhood, Motherhood and the relationships with the use of psychoactive substances and the Four Leaf Clover Strategy and policies on drugs and the perspectives of harm reduction. The research was constituted through a qualitative approach and followed the guidelines of the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). The participants were three women, the age group that stood out was the age group two pregnant women and a puerperal woman who use psychoactive substances accompanied by the project “Estratégia Trevo de Quatro Folhas”, a health service involved in the line of care for pregnant and puerperal women who use psychoactive substances in the municipality of Sobral, an open interview was used. The research results are divided into 3 categories and 1 subcategory that express the meanings of speeches produced by thw participants. The categories are: 1) “Perceptions about what it is to be a mother from the perspective of these women: the pain and delight of being a Woman and the uncertainties of being a mother”, 1.1) a subcategory: “No one goes after the Father”! 2) “Harm reduction as na intervention strategy”, 3) “ Between reception and repression”; , health professionals often end up placing judgment on these women, which generates suffering and lack of confidence in health services. This research becomes relevant for society and support networks for pregnant and puerperal women as it reveals subjective aspects about how these women perceive themselves as mothers and in the face of health care in a context of vulnerabilities, relevant aspects in the care of women who use substances psychoactive, believing that it causes reflection and motivates to rethink care strategies and promotion of policies and care programs for these women.
