Resumo: |
Hydraulic equilibrium simulation of a network of water distribution pipes is one of the most important phases in the water management process. Hydraulic simulator models need to be as close as possible to reality and in order to achieve that good it is necessary to use hydraulic parameters as precise as possible. Identifying and using real parameters is the key issue is modeling real water distribution systems. The Hazen-Williams roughness coefficient is a parameter which is difficult to determinate precisely for a real network of pipes. In order to determinate it with a certain degree of accuracy, a calibration process must be performed using field measured data such as pressure an and flow measurements on some points of the network. In this study we used a new calibration procedure called MIGHA – Iterative inverse gradient method. The study was performed on a theoretical pipe network and it evaluated the method performance is situations where we do not know pressure and flows in all network pipes and nodes (real cases). It is also presented a comparison between the proposed method (MIGHA) and the genetic algorithm technique. |
