Resumo: The problem of drug use and abuse in adolescence is a challenge for all who work and seek preventive health actions. The adolescent needs to discuss the reasons for the adoption of preventive behavior and learn to resist the pressures, for example, to try drugs. This is possible through dialogical, contextual and intersectoral practices that can be developed through the use of Information and Communication Technologies in health, since these technological instruments are part of adolescents' daily lives. In this context, this study aimed to construct and validate an online course aimed at prevention of drug abuse in adolescence. Methodological research and for validation, developed according to the stages of construction of digital educational material proposed by Falkembach, which comprised: analysis and planning, modeling, implementation, evaluation and maintenance and distribution. After completing the construction of the course, the validation phase was started by 17 judges in the areas of adolescents and drugs, nine in the area of EaD/AVA Moodle/online course, and by 40 adolescents from IFCE. The study followed the ethical and legal aspects of research involving human beings, according to the CAAE No. 60229616.8.0000.5054. The content of the course was divided into ten classes that covered the following topics: the use of Moodle; drugs: classification and effects on the body; risk factors for drug use in adolescence; protective factors against adolescent drug use; drug experimentation, use, abuse and dependence; reflection on personal use of drugs; prevention of problems related to drug use; programs or strategies in the area of drugs; treatment; Brazilian legislation on drugs; and the drugs issue at IFCE. In relation to the validation of appearance and content by the judges, all items obtained a Content Validity Index above 0.8, which allows concluding that the material was validated on the objectives, structure and presentation, relevance, environment functionality, usability and efficiency. In the validation by the adolescents, the online course was considered satisfactory with IVC > 0.8 in all items, and it can be concluded that the course was validated regarding accessibility, usability, functionality, structure and presentation, relevance and the environment. Thus, the course was evaluated as interesting, relevant, understandable, attractive and interactive, contributing to the process of critical reflection on the use and abuse of psychoactive substances. It is concluded that the online course can be considered valid to be used with adolescents, regarding the prevention of drug abuse in an innovative way, enabling the development of an interactive educational process. It is recommended this technology to be used as an elective in the distance modality for the students of the technical and superior courses at IFCE, as well as by the student assistance team, with a view to prevent the initial use of drugs and encourage the reduction of consumption in adolescence.
