Resumo: |
The research points out the need to discuss Domain Analysis in the domain delimitation stage, understanding the aspects that influence its identification and its practical approach. It investigates the contribution of Domain Analysis in the delimitation stage of the notional domain of Documentary Languages. Its main objective is to investigate Domain Analysis and its contributions to the construction of Documentary Languages. The specific objectives are: to present the concepts and aspects that make up the methodological and theoretical tendencies of the construction of Documentary Languages; to present the terminological method as a methodological tool used in Documentary Languages; to investigate Domain Analysis in the context of Information Science; and the contributions of Domain Analysis in the development of the domain delimitation stage in the construction of Documentary Languages. The question that justifies this research is to answer in what way the domain analysis contributes in the stage of delimitation of the domain for the construction of Documentary Languages. The research is exploratory and bibliographical, using the contribution of the qualitative approach and Functionalism as a scientific method. It includes a bibliographical review that presents the evolution of Documentary Languages from Documentary Linguistics and Terminology, besides explaining the insertion of Domain Analysis as paradigm of Information Science. It recapitulates the function of the terminological methodologies used in the construction of representation languages. It uses Bardin's Content Analysis (2011) to enable the analysis and the annotation of the categories and, later, the discussion of its results. Through the inferences of the theoretical reference, the results demonstrated that Domain Analysis is a paradigm already established and used in research, as an approach that rescues epistemological, ontological, sociocultural and terminological aspects. It points out the existence of two types of methodological applicability: the Instrumental Domain Analysis and the Descriptive Domain Analysis (TENNIS, 2012) and the 11 possibilities of an analytical approach to the domain of Information Science (HJØRLAND 2002), among which refer to the elaboration of classification systems and specialized languages for representation purposes. It shows the use of the elements and the axes presented by Tennis (2003, 2012) that simulate the initial study of definition and delimitation of a domain. He discovered that the Web of Science, and the bibliometric tools are used in Domain Analysis, allowing to observe a certain discursive community and its respective domain. It concludes that Domain Analysis works with discursive communities able to provide the literary guarantee, present in the documents of a certain domain area, that is, configuring the notional system of a given language. In this perspective the Domain Analysis, its methodologies, instruments and techniques can contribute to the delimitation of the domain in the construction of Documentary Languages, being necessary more researches that instrumentalize this stage. |
