Resumo: |
This ethnographic work is about the political action of unhoused people and people transitioning to be housed. It aims to analyze the dynamics of unhoused people together with the National Movement of the Street Population, in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil. It analyzes the way in which groups in extreme vulnerability organize themselves. Also it wants to understand how their activism is important for their lives so that they can push the State for public policies and get some legibility to their world. This research is done dialogically with some of these persons, which allowed me to observe the transition to be housed. The ethnographic method gave me the necessary immersion to learn about part of this difficult reality, as well as to understand the strength of activism, not by giving voice to the historically excluded group, but by multiplying them through this writing. The social movement of the unhoused population in Fortaleza is more than a space of clashes between antagonist people or a space for the struggle for public policies. It is a way for activists to find their space. This movement marks the struggle for better days as it is a way for activists to seek a better collective response in favor of overcoming the streets. |
