Resumo: |
Considering the increase and proliferation of financial negotiations around television formats for dissemination on a global scale, this research required understanding the specific relationship between media and music at the core of the talent show The Voice Brasil Kids 2018. The program, conceived under the the franchising business model, is one of the most successful products of the Talpa Media Group, and significantly expanded the audience ratings of Brazilian broadcaster Rede Globo. In order to understand how gestuality highlights the gap between the children's characteristic of the program and the meanings implemented in previously determined performances, this study presents arguments that contribute to the understanding of aspects that involve productions in a global dissemination format, their construction and structure, as well as the analysis bias of gesture recognition as an element of communication with a significant impact on the transmission and reception of technically mediated performance (the one in which there is interference of the technical apparatus for both sending and receiving the message). The methodological choice, based on qualitative research, was primarily established by bibliographical research, later, from the point of view of the method of content analysis, it was possible to immerse in the peculiarities of television production. At this point, the structural analysis technique, among other benefits, allowed the recognition of the hybrid structure of the format (composed of talent show, game show and reality show). For the understanding of the meanings implemented in the gestuality of the finalists of the program, the analysis was supported in the approach on the viability of the essence by the mental analysis, developed by Husserl. Finally, this research pointed out that the gap between the program's child specificity and the gestuality implemented in (previously determined) performances is supported by the use of gestures with meanings directed towards the adult sphere. He also made it clear that compositional choices, in some situations, reinforce this perspective. |
