Resumo: Organic acerola production has stood out at different levels, worldwide, national, state and local, highlighting its significant growth in Brazil, especially in the North and Northeast regions. Acerola cultivation has gained visibility in the global organic products market due to the increased demand for healthy foods. In Brazil, Pernambuco leads the production of acerola, followed by Ceará and Bahia, with the Northeast region concentrating the majority of national production. Organic acerola cultivation is particularly relevant in Ceará, standing out in the regions of Ibiapaba, Cariri, Maciço de Baturité and Maranguape, with Ibiapaba showing promise for this activity. The central problem addressed in this dissertation is the complexity and challenges faced by organic acerola producers, including labor shortages, the spread of pests, climate instability and difficulties in logistics and access to credit. In search of solutions, the economic viability of organic acerola producers from the Copeval cooperative is analyzed, given the existing technical, economic and social obstacles. Primary data were collected through the application of questionnaires to a sample of 20 rural producers. Tabular, descriptive and calculation analyzes of economic indicators are used as methods, both under deterministic and risk conditions, this being the Monte Carlo method. The main conclusion is that 80% of producers express positive gross and net margins, allowing them to remain in the activity in the short and long term. Despite this, 60% of acerola producers recorded losses in 2023.
