Resumo: Faced with economic and social disparities between Brazilian regions, the Union, through development actions, seeks to mitigate these imbalances through actions that stimulate regional development. Among the instruments of the National Regional Development Policy, we can highlight the Regional Development Funds for the Amazon, the Northeast, and the Central-West. In that regard, the main objective of this work is to analyze the resources received by development funds and in which states these resources are allocated through project financing for the benefiting companies. The research adopts a quantitative and descriptive approach, using as a source the data provided by the Fiscal Management Reports of the Regional Development Funds for the Amazon, Northeast and Central-West. The results indicate that there are 114 companies distributed in 85 municipalities receiving resources from development funds. However, among the number of municipalities in each State, there are few that contain companies that receive financing from the funds. Regarding the socioeconomic profile, it appears that only large companies receive the benefits of development funds, and that the majority are located in municipalities with better economic and social development. Finally, the research suggests actions to promote a greater geographic distribution of incentives and to cover a greater plurality of companies and, as a corollary, more municipalities assisted with resources from development funds.
