Resumo: The present work deals with Law Nº 11.645/2008 and CNE/CNB Opinion No. 14/2015‘s indigenous theme in History‘s class teaching and his didactic materials, considering the advances, but also the difficulties that still need to be overcome for their implementation, seeking to promote the decolonization of knowledge. For this purpose, we reflect on the historical context of drafting and publishing this law, highlighting the participation of black and indigenous movements in this process. We discuss the roles that the textbook plays in the teaching of history and indigenous cultures in Brazil, thinking about how these materials are in dialogue with the current educational regulations, especially with law Nº 11.635/2008. After all that there is still no adequate adaptation of these materials, we discuss other possibilities of approach to deal with the indigenous theme in the classroom, using an anticolonial perspective for this work, which recognizes and values indigenous protagonisms. To conclude, as a propositional part of this work, we elaborated a didactic material, in the format of workshop-classrooms, using as a basis sources of indigenous authorship of native peoples who inhabit the territory of Ceará. The proposal for this material is that it be used in history classes in elementary school, final years.
