Resumo: This understanding of regional tourism, is therefore of immeasurable importance, since it is a phenomenon that has global repercussions, through the framework environmental, economic, political, social and cultural. The same proportion, there is an urgent analysis of its territory of activity, so important for local development and integration of the region. Just like you need a new direction for tourism to really take back to improve the quality of regional life. Empirical study of urban spaces and environments in the region of cariri as a whole, through field visits and survey of the potential regional tourism. For the materialization of the research, the methodological procedure consisted in the literature review, theoretical analysis of tourism conceptual, empirical research, research in newspapers, magazines and internet; where, for the production of space tourism, is nothing more than the "reorganization"of spaces, both material and immaterial, for they are not lost its regional identity and culture, pointing out their vocations and potential that permeates between the culture, history, leisure, health, education, events, commerce and nature, targeted alternatives for sustainable development of tourism within the region. The present study, aimed to examine the issues relevant to tourism in Ceará Cariri, as well as to conduct a survey of tourism trends and potential regional and local, levels to contribute to environmental improvement and guide the social practice of tourism.
