It is a fact that the teaching of physics in the conventional ways has not been attractive to most high school students, demotivation is a barrier that many educators consider insurmountable. But what can be done to improve this harsh reality? In this context, seeking to promote greater motivation for students of physics in high school, this study proposes the use of short videos that are concurrently related to the content seen in the classroom and the daily lives of these young people. Studies show that the teacher can and should motivate their students. The short videos found on the Internet is a technological resource that is part of the student's daily life, she associates the display of movies to the leisure so that this circumstance tends to contribute for the transmitted knowledge to start becoming more meaningful to such a student, favoring this way the curiosity and motivation. It was accomplished Video presentations in which there was always an attempt to relate scientific knowledge to popular knowledge, considering the behavior presented by the students and curiosity being perceived through their questions. At the end of the academic term a questionnaire was applied to compare the responses of the student with the perception of the researcher. As a result it could be easily seen an interaction between teacher and student and the answers obtained from the questionnaire applied suggest that the videos when properly chosen may work as a great motivational tool. |
