Resumo: The aim of this research, carried out in the form of a doctoral thesis, was to discuss the conception of formation / education in the perspective of the emancipation of the work in Karl Marx’s texts, mainly, in his work of maturity, Capital: critic of the political economy. In order to do so, it was sought, from the study of Marx's own texts, especially from Book I of Capital, to abstract what constitutes his contribution to the formation / education of the worker in the current capitalist sociability. Therefore, analyzing the relationship / contradiction between work and education in the sociability of capital, the aim was to demonstrate the nature of education and the role it plays in the perspective of capital and what it can perform in the perspective of the emancipation of labor) in the process of struggle for overcoming current social relations and building a truly emancipated society. We begin from the assumption that reflection on education / education and its function in the perspective of the emancipation of work in Marx's conceptions, especially in Capital, can’t be limited to a simple tracing of quotations , in which the author referred to education or used this concept, but the fundamental and necessary procedure for treating this question is to consider it from the set of categories that Marx presented in his book called Capital, the expression of the real determinations of the contradictions between capital and labor in capitalist sociability. In view of these contradictions, it was considered that educational activity in the strict sense (school / formal), subsumed to the power of capital, has the predominant function of contributing to the production and reproduction of social relations of capitalist production, however to consider it in the perspective of the emancipation of labor (of the proletariat), the educational activity can assume a totally opposite function, that is, of providing a radical knowledge of social reality, a knowledge that helps the working class in the struggle against sociability of capital and in the process of constitution of a truly emancipated society, founded on associated work, in which there will no longer be class society and man's domination by man.
