Resumo: One of the great challenges of the Physics teacher profession today is to find a methodology that can maximize the students' learning process, since there is great rejection by most students. This work aims to provide the teacher with a comic book creation manual to be applied to students. Based on the constructivist methodology, groups of four to six elementary school students in the final years of the ninth grade of a private school were challenged to produce their own comic strip using phenomena and physical concepts. Students choose a subject that is being taught in the two-month period to elaborate a situation experienced by a character and create a comic. With the production of comics, a more fun and expressive learning of physical phenomena was noticeable. They mainly explored three contents: mechanics, thermology and waveforms and used all their creativity to elaborate sequenced drawings and comics that made sense. Most of the concepts were clear and others were not, but there was a great advance in learning the discipline. In the last phase of the methodology, the students shared the comics with each other and commented on how much they found playful activities necessary to understand physics concepts, leading to more effective learning. With all the activity, the attraction that the students had for the discipline was noticeable. We conclude that the production by the students of a comic is a very efficient tool in the learning of physics and involves physical concepts with other areas of knowledge, creating an interdisciplinary comic, allowing the student to conquer scientific knowledge.
