Resumo: |
Higher education is one of the major challenges of society, since the global market is very dynamic and its changes influence the educational background. Thus, the quality of education has been the main goal of higher education institutions, especially in public universities, because the effectiveness of the training process results in that quality. Effectiveness is closely linked to the pedagogical aspects of schools, universities and systems of education. The alumni’s profile from the Undergraduate Dentistry Course of Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC) indicates a formation that is humanistic, critical and reflective to work in all levels of health care based on technical and scientific rigor. Therefore, comprises evaluate the effectiveness of training students of Dentistry course the UFC, from the analysis of the proposed objectives in Pedagogical Course Project (PCP). The analysis was carried out based on the qualitative and quantitative field research data in which 77 alumni who graduated between 2013 and 2015 participated, answering questionnaires through the Google Drive platform. Factors such as quality of education, highly qualified professors, the supply of research and extension activities and the encouragement of continuing education were identified as positive factors because they show that the professionals matched the Pedagogical Course Project (PCP) of the undergraduate course under study. This information is relevant not only to the management of the dentistry course, but also to the UFC itself, helping to identify potential weaknesses and make improvements especially in the training aspect of the course. |
