Resumo: The main motivation of the present research was to try to understand how the relationships between the cultural aspects of each place and the bodily practices present in physical education classes and in the students' daily lives work, from an analysis of the relationship between the elaborated knowledge (related by students in Physical Education classes and the local sociocultural context of a public school in Fortaleza. Society and culture are side by side in an anthropological itinerary, society undergoes transformations from well-defined cultural aspects that affect its structure, making This process is somewhat systematic and natural. Culture, on the other hand, originates in a grouping of individuals (society) and in certain habits, symbols and behaviors of this group from demands that involve the evolution of human beings and their survival, determining their basis and its importance. Having as its central theme the Body Culture of Movement, in Physical Education As an area of study, we have the Brazilian Jocimar Daolio (2004) with a consistent work on this theme, also supported by anthropologists Clifford Geertz and Marcel Mauss. The research followed a methodological itinerary of a qualitative nature, of the case study type, which privileged the relational character between and with the people of the field in question, in this case, the school. The strategy defined for the generation of empirical data was the application of a questionnaire to students of a high school in the city of Fortaleza. In order to strengthen the theoretical framework that served as the basis for the field research, a review study was carried out, of the state of the art type, to try to establish connections and provoke reflections in the observations of Physical Education classes. It was possible to conclude that investigating and attributing a sense of identity to cultural processes can enhance the area of school physical education; that it is necessary for the teacher to understand the meaning of what is around him and how this is manifested in his classes for a better development of his practice and meeting the needs of the students. On the other hand, we see students who try to differentiate themselves from each other based on various manifestations, including bodily manifestations, thus attributing a meaning to that. Therefore, this cultural identity permeates the relationships between the body and movement, and such aspects cannot in any way be disregarded in the teaching and learning processes.
