Does the death of young black people take place at the exact moment of the physical death of their bodies? In what ways are social and racial inequalities materialized throughout these young people's lives? What limitations do young black people living in the shanty towns of Fortaleza find in their particular trajectories? These are some of the questions that this dissertation addresses. An analysis of genocide as a social and racial phenomenon that occurs in the lives of young black people since their birth, young people who come from the outskirts of the city of Fortaleza. From the perspective of young residents of the Jangurussu neighborhood and anti-racist social activists. Through a sociological investigation using a documentary analysis (Local, national and international reports, Maps and Atlas of violence, news, music, films and documentaries), the methodology used was the qualitative methodology, prioritizing in-depth interviews carried out in person and virtually.
