Resumo: The present study analyzes music games as pedagogical tools in the process of musicalization of children in early childhood education. We start from the following research problem: how can music games be used by teachers (not music specialists) in the process of musicalization of children in early childhood education? We have as main objective to analyze how musical games can be used by these teachers, as a pedagogical tool in the process of musicalization of children in early childhood education, as well as these teachers evaluate their use of these musical games. We have as specific objectives to observe the assimilation that teachers make about the concepts related to the properties of sound (pitch, duration, timbre and intensity), through the use of musical games; and to analyze the suggestions of didactic strategies made by the teachers for the application of these sound properties with children in early childhood education. We used as a theoretical basis the studies on games made by authors like Huizinga, Brougère and Costa, and, specifically on musical games, Brito and Kodály. For this research we chose the collaborative action research methodology. The research was carried out at the Mattos Dourado Children's Education Center (CEI), in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil.
