Resumo: Starting from my experiences as a transvestite subject and from the experiences in activism in defense of the Human Rights of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transvestites and Transsexuals (LGBT), as well as motivated by the possibility of articulating emerging thoughts, debates and clashes, I propose, in this research , raise the following reflections: what are the narratives produced by the communication vehicles about the murder of Dandara? What are the repercussions of the Dandara case on the centrality of the debate on the murders of transvestites and what anthropological, sociological and philosophical categories cross the context of violence experienced by transvestites in Brazil? The methodology will follow, among others, the following phase: the bibliographic reading of authors who dialogue with the centrality of the research theme, taking into account transvestite and black authors, black feminists. “Giving the name: Eu and Dandara in the construction of humanities narratives of transvestites in Fortaleza” is a writing proposal inspired by the exercise of a textual construction in the first person articulated with collective trajectories of transvestite lives, thinking about an identity construction and permeated by activism. The Dandara case exemplifies the fight for the lives of transvestites and the violence to which they are subjected. Aiming to analyze the emic and ethical categories presented in the narratives of humanities produced and published in the newspaper O Povo and its unfolding of the news of the murder of Dandara in Fortaleza in the year 2017.
