Resumo: The geoconservation, in the context of environmental crisis installed in the last decades, constitutes a relevant action to maintain environmental potentialities. Focusing landscape abiotic elements, commonly underrated in environmental planning and valorization actions, the present work brings the discussion about geoheritage potentialities in the Ubajara National Park, Ceará State. Ensure the integrity of the existing geological formation set, characterized by the main speleological province in Ceará as well as the contact between the Ibiapaba Glint front and the Sertão surfaces. The research aims to provide subsidies geoheritage planning and promotion in the Ubajara National Park and adjacent areas, by means of the effective steps of a geoconservation strategy. Eleven sites of geological interest were inventoried at the Ubajara National Park and adjacent areas (Sítio do Bosco, Paredões de Janeiro, Cachoeira do Pinga, Mirante da Gameleira, Mirante do Pendurado, Circuito das Cachoeiras, Trilha Ubajara- Araticum, Cachoeira do Pajé, Cachoeira do Pinguruta, Gruta de Ubajara e Furnas de Araticum). These sites of geological interest were evaluated following the GEOSSIT methodology from the Brazilian Geological Service. The result ratified the high scientific, educational and touristic values, rising them to fundamental spaces to develop environmental valorization practices. Based on the inventory, evaluation data, specific Ubajara National Park manipulation objectives, and administration actual conditions, a conservation and valorization for the park geoheritage was formulated. The plan is composed by sixteen projects in seven programs, as well as effectiveness monitoring and evaluation proposals. Finally, we formulate geosite conservation, promotion and publicity strategies focusing in geoeducation, geocomunication and environmental interpretation actions. This work illustrates the importance of considering geoheritage in the context of planning in Brazilian conservation units. By means of reproducible actions in other public or private protected areas, the study rises as support to a paradigma change concerning nature conservation, no more thinking the biodiversity alone but as a systemic action connecting dialectically abiotic elements, biotic elements and the society (cultural aspects).
