The present research aims to understand how different formative experiences translate a police “way of being”, the theoretical understanding of the expected professional routine and the perception of “being a policeman” as a dynamic idea, but which has recurrences that configured the police identity through common factors observed in the analyzed subjects. In general, the study aims to analyze the construction of the police subject, his condition and his professional perception in the different security forces operating in the city of FortalezaCE. For that, a qualitative methodological was used, essentially exploratory and of participant observation, given the condition of this researcher in the field; with the application of semi-structured interviews and informal conversations with professionals graduating from training courses and working in the Civil Police, Military Police and Fortaleza Municipal Guard. In this sense, it was found that a relevant part of the analyzed sample had characteristics that, understanding it was common to the police structure of the three security forces analyzed, allowed to establish possible models of police signification, adjusted to three views analyzed. -das: reactive view, normative view and critical view. Finally, the analysis of the data reveals a police condition that, conditioning the identity of the researched subjects, echoes the political culture and elaborates a heterogeneous professional spirit, justifying the many conceptions that are woven in this process and the idea of plurality that ensues the police subject. |
