Resumo: Urinary bladder dysfunction (UBM) is a disorder in the storage and emptying dynamics of the bladder, in which it affects children. One of the main treatments for this pathology is the use of Clean Intermittent Catheterization (CIC) in order to avoid complications. This procedure can be performed by a caregiver, requiring follow-up and guidance of the health team using health education. The adaptation of the child and the family becomes a relevant aspect. In this way, it’s been used as theoretical reference, the adaptation theory of Callista Roy, which highlights four metaparadigm: person, environment, health and nursing. The objective was to build video for the promotion of care by parents and caregivers of children in CIC, as well as validate the educational video, as to content and appearance, by content judges and technicians. It is a methodological study, developed in the period from March to December 2016, in the Laboratory of Communication in Health of the Nursing Department of the Federal University of Ceará. Nine content experts and three technicians participated to validate the educational video roadmap. Data obtained were organized in Excel program and analyzed by SPSS software version 20.0. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) was used for the analysis of the data. Study approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Ceará under opinion 1.615.750. About the overall rating of the video, the roadmap was considered valid by all experts. It can be verified that both the content judges and the technicians approved with and without modifications. Among the modifications suggested, there was the replacement of technical terms by colloquial language; Dynamics in dialogues and handwashing before assembling the material. In terms of instruments, one of then contained 9 categories (Idea Concept, Dramatic Construction, Rhythm, Characters, Dramatic Potential, Dialogues and Visual Style), the ICC of relevance degree presented 0.768, considered reasonable and another instrument with 3 categories (Language Clarity, Relevance to Practice and Theoretical Relevance), the ICC of the degree of relevance presented an average of 0.764, considered reasonable and p <0.0001. The final version of the educational video "Clean Intermittent Catheterization in Child, How to Do It" was finalized in 10 minutes and 56 seconds. It is concluded that the construction of educational video as an educational technology for the guidance of parents and guardians of children in CIL was considered validated in terms of content and appearance.
