This study aimed to construct and validate a flipchart on prevention and control of child body weight, to be used for the understanding of children from 7 to 10 years. Methodological study, which took place between April / 2014 and August / 2015 and followed three steps: 1) construction of the flipchart; 2) validation of educational technology specialists; and 3) validation for children 7 to 10 years. In the first stage, the text of the script-chips was drawn up and for the preparation of images and layout was commissioned an illustrator. Finally, we obtained the first version of the flipchart entitled "Excess Weight in Children", drafted in accordance with the story of the Silva family, accompanied by a nurse, and consists of nine figures and nine chips-script. In the second stage, 33 experts in educational and / or childhood overweight technologies reviewed the first version of the material. Data from the assessment were compiled and analyzed in Excel. It used the Content Validity Index (CVI), considered validated the item with CVI ≥ 0.80. Among the experts, most he had a doctorate and was graduated in nursing. On the figures and records, only the plug-script 3 has not reached the CVI cutoff point. As for the content, graphics, layout and relevance, all items were validated. 69.7% of experts considered great album. The Global CVI of educational technology was 0.88. According to the suggestions of experts, changes were made in the material, resulting in the second version of the album, which went on to be entitled "Eye on weight." It was included in the school context, a nutritionist and a physical educator and the parents and grandmother of children were excluded; He sought to focus on the control of body weight and not obesity. Proceeding to the study, in the third stage, the second version of educational technology was appreciated by 42 children, aged 7 and 10 years, students of a public school in Santa Cruz / Rio Grande do Norte (RN). It was applied to the flipchart of group mode by the researcher in charge and made individual interviews to assess the material employees. Figure 4 is only presented CVI less than 0.80. The album featured CVI Global equal to 0.89. the age of the main characters and made adjustments in language and content of water intake and physical activity has changed. Therefore, it is considered the album series "Eye on Weight" validated by experts and the audience on the content and appearance. |
