Resumo: The biolubricants are one class of vegetable or animals oils chemically modified, and their structure have efficient characteristics and properties for replacement of mineral oils. They are biodegradabel in a short time lane and derivates of renewable font, so environmentally friendly. This project is based on the use of oleic acid, a vegetable oil, to obtain potencial biolubricants molecules (BLs). For this, were performed reactions of: esterification of oleic acid (OA) for obtain the product octyl oleate (EOA), immediately after a process of epoxidation of the produto EOA for obtain 9-epoxy octyl oleate (EEOA), and, finally, reactions of opening of the oxirane rings using different reagents for the production of BLs. After synthesis of BLs, were evaluated the influence of the structure and of the functional groups added in the side of the molecules in the physicalchemical properties of biolubricants. After the obtain this products and their respective structural elucidation by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), they were caracterized physical-chemical by: acid index, density at 20 °C, kinematic viscosity at 40 and 100 °C, pour point and oxidative stability.
