Resumo: This work introduces a historical approach about education of Barão de Grajaú with the purpose of reconstruct the experience lived by baronenses youths that studied in Floriano. Although these two cities are near, they belong to different states and have in Education one of the integral elements in social-economic and cultural field. Through this study, we search to apprehend information from memories, that helped in educational structure reconstitution de Barão de Grajaú. To a better elucidation of the educational development occurred em Barão de Grajaú, from 1940 to 1970, period in study, we lookes for methological-theoretical support on the ideas from the new History authors, as they could enable a big dynamism to the research. When we approach themes like memories, we resort to Ecléa Bosi's is and Paul Thompson's works. As methodological resource, interviews were realized to do interlocution with other authorships such as: documents, newspapers, public and private registers, that were very important to reach the purpose. The oral information were represented by students, parents, teachers, school official and canoeist that lived in that period. In this research, it was proved that the daily school experiences of the partakers, exposed through memory, were important on reconstruction of Barão de Grajaú education history. Without these elements it would be difficult to comprehend educational route of those historical subjects.
