Resumo: The survey study of soil was realized in 202 ha area that belongs to the National Center of Research in Tropical Agroindustry, CNPAT (EMBRAPA), located in Pacajus-CE, where is installed its experimental station. With this work we pretend to allow more detailed informations about the soils that happen in the station area, providing resources for the beginning of new experimental projects that will allow, afterwards, the outcoming from its result to other soils with the same caracteristics in the area. It has been realized studies of chemical, physical and classification. Distribution and extension of differents types of soils that occur in the area of studies, which made possible the composition of a table of soils, published in scale 1:5000. Yet, it has been described the aspects of the natural area, such: weather, vegetation, climate pelief, etc. A previous work realized in the area was used as the base of this project. It was also used air pictures, scales 1:25:000 and available "plani-altimétricas" plants. The soils were classified in order with the Brazilian System of Classification, correlated with "Soil Taxonomy", receiving the following denominations: Podzólico red yellow rugged, A unwell, Arenic Kandiustults, Podzólico red yellow A moderate, Arenic Haplustults, Areia quartzosa distrófica podzólica alica, A uhwell, (Argic Quartzipsamments), Areia Quartzosaa Distrófica, A Moderate (Tipic Quartzipsamments); and Areia quartzosa hidromórfica distrófica podzólica, A promiment, (Aquic Quartzipsamments).
