Resumo: This paper is titled as: The training education of young people and adults from the rural areas: a case study at the RuralWorkers Union (RWU) in the city of Abaetetuba - PA. It was proposed to investigate the following research question: How does the process of youth education and adults happens in the Rural Workers Union of the Municipality of Abaetetuba. In order to build the theoretical framework of this study were used several authors: Miguel Arroyo (1995, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005) Paulo Freire (1987, 1996, 1997), Paulo Freire e Ira Schor (1986), Scherer-Warren (1993, 1996, 2007), Brandão (2007), Paiva (1972), Paludo (2001, 2006), Gadotti (1983, 2000, 2002), Manfredi (1996) Fasheh (1999), among others, and elucidating categories like: popular education, training, knowledge, social movements, young people and adults.The Investigation at the Rural Workers Union of Abaetetuba provided the analysis of the training of young people and adults associated with the movement and the relationship with the knowledge coming from the relations built by the reality. This study was part of the scope of qualitative research, which allowed a direct approach to the universe of research, contributing for the description, understanding of the formation of young people and adults who are members in the Rural Workers Union of Abaetetuba. It is constituted as a case study because, it has its own interest, unique, particular. Aims to research a specific case, well-defined, contextualized in time and place so that we can conduct a detailed search of information. The instruments used for data collection emerged from the objectives elaborated for the study, which are; Raising the conceptual basis of training and knowledge that inspire the actions developed by RWU, and to identify the training of young people and adults of RWU happens and find how the RWU contribute to the training of its young people. Using Semi structured interviews and focus groups were key tools for collecting information on the guiding question of this study.It is noteworthy that there is a learning process developed in the world of life associated with the need to read and write. A learning process with its own strategies; whichrespects the particular time of each. There is a popular education process. It is an essentially human and political act. Not only represents the individual to whom it is addressed, but the social and political intentionality with which it is made. It is a dialectical process of building knowledge from the practice of theorizing about it, to return to practice. In this process, the taxable persons that dialogue they educate each other and, in turn, have as a reference the reading of the reality that they intend to transform. They contribute not only with various methodologies, with different critical conceptions, but also with the conceptual basis for a way to learn from the practices. Their knowledge production has entered into discussion in the research area, breaking the positivist and rationalist paradigm production of science and knowledge. The study points to the need to provide opportunities that they take a leap in the pursuit for the systematization and theorization of that experience.
