Resumo: |
The objective of this dissertation was to evaluate if the poor resident individuals of the Northeast region had benefited themselves of the economic growth (pro-poor growth ), as well as the remain of the society. For this purpose, it was used, through the data of the PNAD, between years 1987 and 2004, for the northeastern states, the methodologies proposed by Ravallion and Chen (2002) and Son (2004). It was evaluated that during the nineties decade, mainly between the years of 1995 and 1999, occurred a great incidence of pro-poor growth. In the dissertation, a new methodology was proposed, where it was evaluated the distribution of income on the Northeast states, forming a ranking of the places that the poor people withhold more income. From this ranking, the poor people who withhold the best condition of north-eastern income inhabit in Pernambuco and Bahia. |
