Resumo: |
Corruption affects the everyday life, and the understanding of this issue has gained greater appeal in economic sciences. This study evaluates empirically, using longitudinal data, the association between one corruption perception index and real gross domestic product per capita in Latin American countries. The results suggest that there is a negative impact of corruption, despite the increased impact of other variables, henceforth, openness of economy and size of government. |
