Resumo: The violence and criminality have become a constant problem for all the population. Ahead of this scene, literature on the economy of the crime has expanded quickly, being focused principally in the relation between the indicators of economical inequality and the distribution of the crimes between the regions, besides checking which social and economic characteristics can influence the victimization. In Brazil, in spite of the rates of criminality to be so alarming, there are little studies that board this subject. Before this, this work had like main objective to analyze the social and economic characteristics of the individual that could influence his repeated victimization. After a short literary revision, was verified that characteristics as sex, age, schooling and income can influence in delicts ocurrence. Besides, it easy perceived that inequality indicators, like the rate of Gini, can help in the checking of some relation between distribution of income and victimization. To appreciate and to value such indicators, the models of regression negative binomial and inflated zeros were used in this work to check which characteristics ones more influence in the repeated victimization. The data used for this inquiry were obtained of the National Research for Sample of Domiciles (PNAD) of 1988, the only year in which one investigates of national range it boarded this subject, together with the data of the Institute of Economical Hard-working Inquiry (IPEADATA). Doing I use the principal social and economic characteristics and indicative of inequality of income to appreciate the quoted models, the obtained results showed that such variables can interfere in the recurrent victimization of the individual, confirming the estimates of the international literature on the subject.
