Resumo: The study is an investigation into the use of Documentary Language (DL) in archives and examines its contributions to the representation of archival information in information systems. The general objective is to carry out a theoretical and methodological study of the construction of documentary language in corporate archives, with the aim of contributing to the representation of archival information in document management systems. Among the specific objectives, it aims to carry out a literature and methodological review on the development and usability of the thesaurus in archivology, in the context of the organization and representation of nowledge; to research the theoretical aspects of archivology and documentary representation, and to propose the development of a thesaurus in an archive management company in the area of People Management. This is a descriptive study in terms of the structure of the terms and their meaning, understanding their importance for the user in mediating access to information. The study is based on a bibliographic literature review, bibliometric analysis with descriptive-exploratory characteristics and a survey of information data at EasyDoc Gestão de Arquivos e Contabilidade. To analyze the data, a quantitative-qualitative approach was adopted, resulting in the creation of a DL, by means of a thesaurus based on the Cervantes model (2009) and Professor Heliomar Cavati Sobrinho's thesis (2014), using the "TemaTres" system in a series of archival documents from the personnel sector. From the analysis of the information, it has been possible to see that the use of terminology is essential in the application of documentary language, and can guide archival practices, presenting some of the potential of the use of DL in the representation of archival information and, consequently, in information retrieval.
