Resumo: This work aims to analyze the teaching of Portuguese language mediated by Luz do Saber software under analysis from common national curriculum base. To this end, we mobilized the conceptions of Portuguese language teaching developed by Kleiman (1995, 1997, 2010, 2012), Koch and Elias (2012), Foucambert (1994, 2002, 2008), Street (2014), Freire (2011), Soares (1998, 2004, 2008), as well as conceptions about technology and language teaching according to Huizinga (2000), Prenskyv (2006), Demo (2009), Deterding (2011), Leffa (2012), Alves (2015) and Mattar (2017). Methodologically, we used two blocks of analysis to carry out the study case, because it is understood that in the development of this research the subjects interpret subjectively the social phenomena in which they are inserted. With this, we collect software activities in light of the related documents that guide the Portuguese language teaching strategies in Brazil to evaluate them pedagogically, create a checklist to evaluate the usability of the software and observe if the proposal in the software aligns with the notable documents. Finally, based on the analysis carried out, the software has important potential to work in the teaching of Portuguese Language, but demands more reflection on the methodological practices available, because they are not aligned with an understanding of language geared towards a socio-interactionist understanding of language.
