The constant changing in the consumers´ profile has made companies modify their way of managing, therefore seeking bolder designs that provide subsidies to get consumers´ preferences and, above all, their loyalty. Facing this situation, it was developed a qualitative research, of exploratory character, in two companies from the metallurgical sector, located in Fortaleza-CE, in order to understand the problems provided by the strategic alignment between business and operations strategies. The research was developed with the purpose of meeting its specific and general goals, being necessary to study, analyze and verify the strategic alignment expressed in the literature, suggesting improvements in the strategic alignment between business and operations in those companies. A multiple case study was undertaken in both companies through questionnaires, documents and interviews with business professionals. The first company was founded in 1985. It´s focused on technology and innovation, developing intelligent and reliable solutions for the security of electronic devices. The second one, more than 40 years of business activities, was founded in 1967. It is specialized in manufacturing electronic energy and water meters. According to these approaches, the positioning of these organizations was established, regarding the studies undergone on the existing strategic alignment accomplished there. |
