Resumo: |
The dissemination of information can be manifested by different means among the subjects, among them, the “media” stands out. The transmission of information in modern times used several channels to reach its recipient through the so called “digital age” that was associated with information flows in the globalized world. The dignity of the human person is a constitutional precept that has been given the status of a fundamental right. Between the shock of the dissemination of media information conveyed about the image of the accused person and the principle of dignity, social representations with implications for that fundamental right may occur. Considering the theme of the problem, a research was presented whose general objective was to carry out an analysis of the information conveyed by modern media and the impacts arising from the accused's social representation. The specific objectives were characterized by: defining information in the social field and its relationship with culture, meaning, language and knowledge. Relate information to the social and legal field as a legal value. Characterize the subject in the context of their identities and the contemporary media. Reflect on the concept of the principle of human dignity. Analyze the dissemination of information from a modern media and the relationship about the accused's image and social representation. In order to achieve these objectives, a research was carried out characterized by being qualitative in exploratory and explanatory modality, with transversal cuts from bibliographic searches in the interdisciplinary areas of the social field of Information Science and Social and Legal Sciences. The methodological process adopted discourse analysis, using the collective subject discourse analysis (CSD) as a technique, given that the research dealt with a case study carried out in a specific group of a sector of the local judiciary. As instruments of data collection, structured and semi structured questionnaires were used, as well as the characterization and description of the research environment. The interpretation of the collected data was analyzed according to the content of the discourse formation of the collective subject emanating from the studied group as well as discussed with the referenced theoretical contribution. In this way, it was possible to conclude that the researched group demonstrated that there was a negative social representation of the image of the accused and, consequently, it was also recognized that the process of mediatization of the image violated fundamental rights. |
