Resumo: This experiment was carried out in Caucaia, Ceará - Brasil, for a six year period, to compare the clones 076 and 1001 of dwarf cashew plants. Phenophasic component variations, height and canopy of the plant, foliar flush, flowering, fruitification, production and productivity were studied and correlated to weather components. Twenty plants (ten of each clone) out of eighty seven were selected randomly in the experimental area. Weather components were investigated and correlated to plant phenophases. Five plants were alloted from each clone and productivity data were obtnained through fruit and peduncle weekley weighing. It was used a complete ing five treatments and five repetitions. Vertical and lateral growth and foliar flush were significant through the whole experiment due to irrigation conditions. Flowering, frutification and production differed and clone 1001 showed a more definite periodicity than clone 076. Periodicity might have been affected by endogenous and exogenous factors and rainfall distribution seemed to play the main role. As to nut difference between the clones although, clone 1001 presented higher results. Nut ang peduncle average weights of clone 076 were significantly higher than those from clone 1001. The production of clone 076 was more uniform and continuous than that of clone 1001 which produced intensively in a different period of the year and alternately.
