Resumo: The present study aims to evaluate the state of the art on the use of conversational agent for self-care in people with Diabetes Mellitus (DM). The prostate methodology was a systematic review, in which a protocol was developed, which is an essential component in the systematic review process. The tool used to develop the protocol was Parsifal, as it adds visibility, accessibility to its analysis and avoids duplication. The RS regulation starts with the planning that contains the following steps - Population - Intervention - Comparison - Outcome (PICO), Keywords and/or synonyms. Then, the process began, which consists of - Procedures for selecting and assessing the quality of primary studies. Research collaborators from the interdisciplinary and interinstitutional area opted for electronic reference bases, with the justification for their selection due to the databases involving health and technology, the chosen ones were: Isis Web of Science, Pubmed, Scopus, Compendex. It is noteworthy that no ethical approval was required for this study. Searches in the databases resulted in 1172 articles, of which 1144 publications were withdrawn according to the inclusion criteria and 7 because they were duplicates. A total of 11 papers were selected for reading in full. SR shows that conversational agents are revolutionizing the health sector, as they are increasingly popular as remote health interventions are implemented in the form of dialogue systems focused on patients with chronic diseases. It can be said that a health service with a chatbot can respond promptly to problems that arise in everyday life, support patients/caregivers in the treatment and changes in the health status of people with DM, and also generate information/indicators for decision-making.
