Análise da produção científica dos egressos do Mestrado Profissional em Políticas Públicas e Gestão da Educação Superior (POLEDUC): contributos para a gestão universitária

Resumo: This study aimed to investigate the scientific contribution of 155 graduates of the Professional Master's Degree in Public Policies and Higher Education Management (POLEDUC) within the scope of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), based on the analysis of the dissertations approved in the period from 2008 to 2021. The research was limited taking into account the areas of prevalence of the topics addressed, such as: health and public administration, organizational culture, university management, information technology and public policies, among others. As a result, it became possible to discuss the importance of scientific research as an effective element for the organization of knowledge and its application in the theoretical-practical field. The chapters were organized in order to show interconnections between the UFC's mission, the management of higher education, public policies involving higher education in Brazil, the role of training policies in people management, some of the objectives and precepts of POLEDUC, highlighting its adherence to the norms specified in the Law of Directives and Bases (LDB - Law nº 9.394/1996) and the Plan of Positions and Career for Administrative Technicians in Education (PCCTAE), created by Federal Law nº 11.091/2005. Finally, the Institutional relevance of the dissertation works produced was evidenced, which became reality from the interposition of POLEDUC as an institutional space aimed at the training and qualification of public servants, especially those of the UFC. In this way, the graduates, in view of the postulates of the POLEDUC Master's and the mission of UFC, will establish a new awareness about the study of Public Policies and Management of Higher Education, assimilating, valuing, innovating, diligently and, above all, applying the learning acquired for the common good of UFC and society.
