Resumo: |
Different methodologies were tested to determine water distribution uniformity in a sprinkler system. The trials were done in an area close to the Irrigation Laboratory of the Federal Universitsty of Ceará, Brazil. To evaluate water distribution uniformity, were used Christiansen's Uniformity Coefficient (CUC), Uniformity of Distribution Coefficient (CUD), Hart's Uniformity Coefficient (CUH), Pattern Efficiency from HSPA (UDH) and the Coefficient from Wilcox & Swailes (CUE). Additionally, were determined: irrigation efficiency, potential application efficiency, water losses by application, evaporation and transport. The best results for CUH, CUC, CUE, CUD and UDH, were obtained for low wind velocities and spacings of 12 x 12 m and 12 x 18 rn, folling below the accepted leves for the 18 x 18 m spacing. Irrigation efficiency was below 60% for the spacing of 18 m x 18 m and wind velocities above 4 m.s-1. Evaporation losses were hignes than transport losses, for all tests. All the parameters studied could be used to evaluate the coefficient of uniformity of distribution for the area. |
