Resumo: | This thesis entitled Education and Social Service: contemporary trends and approaches in the academic production of the Social Service area aims to investigate, in the current academic production of Social Service, the theoretical and analytical treatment given to education from the main trends and approaches on the conceptions of education. Based on the Marxist materialist ontology, this study uses bibliographic research as a research methodology. Of great importance are the works of Marx, concerning the discussion about the centrality of work as a fundamental category of social being; Lukács, Mészáros and Ivo Tonet, on education and the relationship with service. Other authors who seek to discuss the problem of education in Social Service, such as the texts by Almeida and Barbosa's book, are among the theoretical productions used from which we seek subsidies for the clipping of our research. The paper is divided into four sections, in which we present the following results: the presentation of the object and the research process in the introduction; we proceed the ontological foundations of the social complex of education, grasping its genesis, nature, and social function within the perspective of Marxian criticism; then we present some theoretical approaches to education, seeking to grasp the essential elements in the discussions; finally, we approach the on Social Service in education, as a space for professional practice and as a theme of the area of knowledge, and, following, we apprehend the main approaches found in the researched texts: educational politics, popular education, and the relationship between education, service and genre human. |
