Resumo: | The present work is developed in the Applied Linguistics researches field which reflect about the use of the language in the classroom. Putting into operation an actionresearch (THIOLLENT, 1988; BARBIER, 2002), we implemented activities directed to the exercise of the argumentation practice by students of Portuguese Language classes in the third year of the Normal Course , adopting the new rhetoric s reflections (PERELMAN & OLBRECHTS-TYTECA, 2005) as a theoretical subsidy. During six months, in a partnership between researcher and teacher, micro-analysis of the classes and activities were carried out in order to promote the developing of the critical sense of the subject. Our aim is to observe how these subjects exercise or not their condition of emancipated subjects (ADORNO, 2006) and verify the importance of the discussion of the other s paper for the self constitution. We assumed certain concepts and points of view of the Critical Theory (ADORNO &HORKHEIMER, 1985; HORKHEIMER, 2002, 2005, 2006; ADORNO, 2006) and Bakhtin s line of Discourse Analysis. Recognizing the urgency of debating about ethic nowadays, we defend the thesis that it is not enough to argue, it is necessary to be critical and, being critical, it is needed to be ethical. These movements are the signs of a possible emancipation of the subject. |
