Resumo: | The objective of this study was to analyze comparative ly the kinetics of transesterification of soy bean oils and castor oil mixed with respect to the submitted oil to the interesterification process of the same starting oils. Initially, it was done the transesterification of the mixture of oils and determination of their income; then, the starting oils were subjected to interesterification process and the obtained oil was transesterified by determining incomes of it as methylesters (biodiesel). In both cases, the reactions were carried out under the same reaction conditions, but at different times. Transesterifications were performed at 5, 10, 15, 30, 45, 60, 120 and 180 minutes. Both the mixture of those oils and the interesterified oil were subjected to chromatographic analysis, infrared spectroscopy Fourier transform, nuclear magnetic resonance of hydrogen, determination of kinematic viscosity. Analogous procedures have been developed for biodiesel obtained from the mixture and the interesterified oil. For purposes of obtaining the correction factor were produced biodiesel standards (B100) for both the mixture and for the interesterified oil. In the latter, the standard had to be done again five times to obtain the desired B100. The result of analyzes confirmed that the transesterification of interesterified oil is not the best route for the production of biodiesel, for comprise more costly and time consuming, complex and presents greater difficulties in reaction than the transesterification of the mixture of soy bean oil and castor oil. |
