Resumo: This work aims to analyze the effects of the preparation of teachers to work in the classroom in the preparation of students to carry out the steps in the Brazilian Physics Olympiad of Public Schools (OBFEP). To this end, an experience report was prepared on the preparation, implementation and application of the educational product developed in the form of a teacher training course in the State Schools of the State of Alagoas to work on preparing the students in their respective school units to participate in the OBFEP. In the preparation of the training, tests were carried out from 2013 to 2016. The content of the test questions involved six areas of physics: mechanics, wave, thermal physics, electromagnetism, geometric optics and modern physics, with a greater emphasis on questions of mechanics. In the analyzed analysis were constructed graphs that helped to identify constant peculiarities in the tests. There were two stages of evidence one theoretical and the other experimental. The result of this work was made based on the students' performance in the two phases of the Olympiad. The results showed that the students of the schools involved in the state of Alagoas performed better than the results obtained in other states of the federation. What also justifies the positive effect of the work developing as all was the improvement of the local result in 2016 and 2017 in relation to the results obtained in 2015, although this year by an individual work developed by a teacher in a certain school there have been a considerable number of award-winning students.
